Who we are
Liminal Coaching ("Liminal", "we", "us") provides coaching, executive coaching, speaking, workshops, and retreats. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. When you book an introductory call, our scheduling provider collects the details you enter to arrange the appointment.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security, performance, and troubleshooting. We do not use this to identify you personally.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and deliver coaching and related services, to communicate with you about them, to keep proper business records, and to keep the site secure and prevent misuse. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Legal basis for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information on one or more of these bases: your consent, our legitimate interest in responding to and serving people who contact us, the performance of a contract with you, and compliance with our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the practice, and only so they can provide their service to us. These include Netlify (website hosting and contact-form processing) and Google (appointment scheduling). We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business. Each provider processes your data under its own privacy terms, which we encourage you to review.
Third-party links
This site links to third-party services, including our external booking page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate, and we encourage you to read their policies before providing information.
Cookies and analytics
This is a static website and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy to describe what is collected and why.
Marketing communications
We do not currently send marketing emails. If we introduce updates or a newsletter that you opt in to, every message will include a way to unsubscribe, and we will honour applicable email and marketing laws.
Where your information is processed
Our service providers are based in the United States, so if you contact us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where such transfers happen, they rely on the safeguards our providers put in place under applicable data-protection law.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we work with reputable providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and client information only as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, and meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or securely retain it only as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain uses. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights: for example, under UK and EU data-protection law you may request a copy of your data or lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, and under California law you may ask what we collect and request deletion. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Confidentiality of coaching
This policy covers information handled through the website. The content of coaching conversations and engagements is treated as confidential and is governed by the understanding we agree with you directly, separate from this website policy.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date above reflects the most recent revision, and any changes take effect when posted here.
