The Examined Life & Hero's Journey voyage
Liminal Odyssey
A small-group sailing voyage through the Greek seas, shaped by the hero's journey. You travel the same waters and landscapes that gave rise to the West's founding myths and philosophies, and use them to look honestly at your own life and the chapter you are ready to begin.
Location
Greece

The Liminal Odyssey is our flagship retreat, and the most literal. A small group sails the Greek seas together, moving between islands and the places where the founding myths and philosophies of the West were first told.
The hero’s journey gives the voyage its shape. You leave the familiar behind, meet what the passage asks of you, and come back changed. Between the sailing, the sites, and daily coaching, the sea and the myth become a way to examine the life you have been living and to commit to the one you want next.
The first Odyssey sailed the Greek seas in summer 2024. Dates for the next voyage to be confirmed.
A voyage, not a room
The retreat takes place aboard a small boat, sailing between Greek islands. The passage is literal as well as inner: real crossings, real landfalls, real weather.
In the landscape of the myths
You move through the settings where Homer, the tragedians, and the early philosophers worked. The old stories of departure, trial, and return are not abstract here. They are underfoot.
The hero's journey as structure
The classical arc of leaving, being tested, and returning gives shape to the week, and a frame for the transition you are actually moving through.
A small crew
The group is small and the quarters are close. Sailing together, and relying on each other, produces a candour that a conference room rarely does.
